Bois Forte Ojibway 1.0

Bois Forte, translated as "strong wood" from French, referred to the indigenous people residing in the thick forests of northern Minnesota. The Bois Forte reservation is positioned in the northernmost region of Minnesota, approximately 45 miles below the Canadian border. The reservation encompasses three distinct sectors: Nett Lake, Vermilion, and Deer Creek. The most expansive division is situated around Nett Lake, spanning across St. Louis and Koochiching counties.
